My First Uno

PapaBargain and I were so excited to start playing *real* games with BabyBargain, we were just about beside ourselves when we stumbled upon “My First Uno”. With at least five different versions available at Amazon- Thomas the Train, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dora, Winnie the Pooh, Curious George (we show the Thomas version here!)- it’s a perfect quick after-dinner game. And a good “waiting at the restaurant” game. And a good “math is fun” game…

On the Night You Were Born

I’ve read so many great reviews of this book I’m sorry I didn’t buy it sooner. We finally did purchase it when BabyGirlBargain was born, and it’s easily one of my top 5 favorite children’s books now. With gorgeous words, beautiful illustrations, and a theme that is particularly poignant for Christmas, you absolutely can’t go wrong with this book!

Rockaby Baby CDs

These Rockabye Baby albums are enchanting. We borrowed one from our library to check it out and were completely hooked. If whether or not to play Elmo’s Dance Songs for the third time in a row is a constant internal debate for you (although I actually love that album too!), the Rockabye Baby albums may be just what you need. Classical renditions of popular pop songs appeals to both sleepy babies and far-too-awake parents. My favorite is the Coldplay album. Available in CD or digital music formats (although the CD probably fits better in a stocking!)

Dora Beanie Baby

I don’t know what it is about this gal, but Dora the Explorer couldn’t be more popular among the toddler set. The Ty Beanie Baby version of Dora is perfectly sized for easy travel, car snuggles, and peeking out of a Christmas stocking.

Chunky Cars

Just the right size for chubby little hands, the B. Wheeee-Is have that classic B. toys color scheme that make them just a little more pleasing to the eye when they’re strewn all over the house. This set comes with all four adorable cars, each with their own unique sound- jingles, rattles, and squeaks- so everyone who wants to can have a chance to play!

Sophie Teether

Always in Amazon’s list of bestselling baby products, I’m pretty sure Sophie is the only teether parents could actually recognize by name. Highly reviewed and perfectly sized for stockings (and diaper bags!), Sophie would make a perfect gift for your favorite teething baby.

Crayola Washable Watercolors

With so many different types of art projects available to today’s toddlers, the tried-and-true watercolors often get forgotten. But a masterpiece can be made with any medium, and these are fun for kids and moms- they clean up so easily!

Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes

Also a perennial favorite on Amazon’s bestseller list, the Baby Einstein Take Along Tunes is even cooler in person than it looks here. Sort a baby “ipod”, the button toggles between 7 different classic tunes. What a refreshing change from what I’d usually hear on a long car ride!

A little lady can never have too many dollies, and how cute would this bonneted head look peeking out of a stocking on Christmas morning?

Thomas the Tank Engine

The great thing about Thomas is his appeal to children both young (who love his chunky frame,) and old (who can invent his journeys through Sodor). He can travel on his own or with his friends, and is perfectly sized for easy travel and fitting in stockings!
