Seriously, how beautiful is this bassinet? It looks like it just popped out of an InStyle photo shoot! That gorgeous sheen is silk shantung, and that cocoa bow is just a small part of this bassinet set that includes the whole kit n’ caboodle- the hooded bassinet with wheels, a 2″ mattress pad, a fitted sheet, the decorative pillow (might be nice on a rocking chair,) and all the prettiness that is this silk cover. How cute is this?? Thanks to TotBargainer Karen for sharing a great deal with us on the Infantino Barn Shape Sorter! I’m not ashamed to say that my favorite feature of this baby toy is that all the little pieces store inside the barn. Hey, I like organization, okay? I think we’ve been down this path together before. In BabyGirlBargain’s very trying newborn stage, she had one blanket that would almost always soothe her. She’s a blanket-lovin’ gal, but this one in particular must have been sewn with magic thread. Toddler beds are tricky. Mostly because of the toddler (not so much the bed). Either you’ve got a tot who loves their crib and isn’t happy about giving it up, or you’ve got a Houdini who wakes up plotting his next crib escape. Making the transition for either of these bundles-o-joy all boils down to one thing: marketing. You’ve got to talk that bed up like you’re selling ice to an eskimo. Happy Easter, friends! I thought this might be a good day to try to find a good bargain for donating. I focused my efforts on the My Stuff Bags Foundation, the first one on our Charities page. The My Stuff Bags Foundation’s goal is to provide a duffel bag filled with new belongings to each of the nearly 300,000 children each year who must enter crisis shelters and foster care with nothing of their own. What an amazing thing. In addition to accepting new, purchased items, they also accept donations of homemade blankets to gift to children in their bags. I’m kind of thinking about organizing a make-a-blanket event later this year, if anyone is up for it! For now, I’ve found a few deals that would make great donations.
