Free Fun Friday

Today’s fun focuses on the wonder of ziplock bags.  Not just pastry bags anymore (LOVE this use!) today they’re water toys and mess-free finger paints!  For your budding artist, two “painting” options: either fill a gallon-size Ziplock bag with about 4 oz. of washable tempera paint, squeeze out the air, seal, and tape to your table/highchair, OR (a cheaper, less smelly option) fill the bag with about 4 oz. of plain yogurt, add a few drops of food coloring, squeeze, seal, and tape.  Voila!  For the littler ones out there, fill your Ziplock bag with water, add a drop or two of blue food coloring and a few flat-ish bath toys, seal (keep a little air in this time,) and presto!  A super fast water toy.  You can even add a drop of dishwashing liquid for some fun bubbles!  Not that I need to tell any of you this, but of course don’t leave baby unattended with a bag, water, paint…or really anything at all.  It’s a dangerous world out there!
