Free Fun Friday

It’s time again for another installment of Free Fun Friday!  Today’s inspiration comes from the mountains of snow sitting outside my window.  There are few things in life more fun than jumping in a pile of the chilly stuff, but alas, preparing to take a toddler out in it (physically and mentally) has this fun activity inching dangerously close to my “chore” list.  The result is fun, though, and couldn’t be more free- so we decided to take it indoors.  I scooped up a big bowl (conveniently located right outside my door!) and plopped it right down on BabyBargain’s high chair tray.  We brought out all our beach toys (and this cute little car Jello mold we had lying around) and built snow cars, snow castles, snow ponds for snow boats…We made sheets of snow and cut them out with cookie cutters!  When BabyBargain’s attention languished, I brought out the food coloring and discovered that colored snow made us want to do it all over again.  We must have gone through four big bowls of snow and played for at least an hour.  And the clean-up? It snow problem.
